Spring Term 2
In English this half term both our fiction unit will be based around the book The King Who Banned the Dark by Emily Howarth-Booth and our non-fiction unit will be a recount of our school trip to Skipton Castle. In the first half of the half term we will be writing a setting description, using adjectives and the suffixes 'er' and 'est' to make our writing as descriptive as possible. In Maths, our units are; length, addition and subtraction, 2D and 3d shape, fractions, position and direction and time. In History, we are studying castles with a focus on Skipton Castle. In DT, we are completing a textiles unit making puppets. We are continuing to look at Animals, including humans in Science, exploring survival and health and Christianity in RE.
