What a wonderful Summer Term we’ve had so far in Reception. The theme for this half term is 'Root, Shoots and Muddy Boots'. The children have been learning key skills such as following two-step instructions, reading books that match their phonics ability and doubling and halving in mathematics.

Phonics

Class 1 are currently learning Phase 3 phonics and will soon be moving up to Phase 4. We follow the Red Rose Lancashire Phonics Scheme and are delighted with the progress made so far.

Home learning

Please continue to work on numbots to enhance basic number skills.
Reading Eggs is a great way to improve your word reading and comprehension skills.
Remember to regularly read and change your school reading book.

Class Dojo - for parental communication/reminders, photos of activities at school and handing in creative homework.
Reading Eggs - for extra reading and spelling practice.
Purple Mash - for developing their computing skills.
