Spring Term 1

Happy New Year Y6!

In English, we will be reading Oh Maya Gods by Maz Evans and writing tutorial style instructions.

We will learn all about our topic of the Maya Civilisation in History and in Art, where we will create Mayan masks. In RE, we will be learning about Hinduism and, in French, we will be having conversations about our clothing and appearance. In music, we will be exploring Soul and warming up our vocal cords!

We have a full PE afternoon on THURSDAY, starting with basketball followed by fitness.

This Spring term is all about resilience and how we can show this during tricky times.

Please arrive at school in your PE kit:

• Plain, dark tracksuit bottoms/Plain, dark shorts
• Plain white t-shirt
• Blue school jumper/cardigan/hoodie (no other hoodies)
• Trainers
