Summer term 1

Welcome back! This half-term much of our learning will be linked to our main history unit based on Ancient Egypt.

English – We’ll be reading Cinderella of the Nile by Beverley Naido. Children will focus on writing a rags-to-riches story.

Science – Our focus is Electricity.

History – The children will be learning all about Ancient Egyptian civilisations.

RE – In Sikhism, we will be learning about why the Gurus are important to Sikhs, Guru Nanak, and The 10 Gurus Baisakhi.

PE – We will be developing our skills in Netball.

Art – Our unit is 3D - Clay. We will be creating an Ancient Egyptian Canopic jar.

PSHE – Our topic is 'Being My Best'.

Music – The children will be using their voice and performing Disco.

French - All our vocabulary this half term will be around where we live, houses and homes.

We’re looking forward to a half-term full of exciting, hands-on learning!
