Autumn Term 1

We have an exciting half-term ahead!

As our topic is all about WW2, in English, we will be reading Letters from the Lighthouse and looking at non-fiction texts about The Blitz. Our WW2 theme will also come into our history lessons as we learn all about the evacuation process and into art lessons, where we will be creating digital artwork based on the war. In RE, we will be learning about Christianity and, in French, we will be having conversations about our family. In music, Mr Richards will be helping us master the guitar.

We have a full PE afternoon on Tuesdays, starting with handball and finishing with dance led by our fantastic coach, Louise.

The first week will be a little different as we will be focussing on our school value of 'Respect' and having our UKS2 World War 2 Evacuee Day on Friday 5th September. Dressing as an evacuee is optional but encouraged!

Please arrive at school in your PE kit:

• Plain, dark tracksuit bottoms/Plain, dark shorts
• Plain white t-shirt
• Blue school jumper/cardigan/hoodie (no other hoodies)
• Trainers
• No earrings
