Autumn Term 1

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Class 4! We are very excited to begin our learning journey!

Here’s a look at what your child will be exploring this half-term:

English 📖 – We’ll be exploring the story of Toby and The Great Fire of London to complement our topic of The Great Fire in History. We will also be writing a non-chronological report all about the fateful events of 1666!
Maths 🔢 – Our focus will be Place Value, Measurement and Addition and Subtraction.
Science 🔬 – We’ll be learning all about everyday materials and their properties.
PE 🤸 – This half term we’ll focus on Athletics and Team Building.
RE 🕉️ – We talking about Christianity (God) and why does how we treat the world matter?
History - We'll be finding out about The Great Fire of London and looking at the reasons it started.
Art - We will creating a collage of the The Great Fire using mixed media.
🧠 PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education)
Our theme this half term is Me and My Relationships
Music 🎶 – We’ll be using the genre of Reggae Music to practise composing and improvising.
Computing 💻 – We'll be learning about IT Around Us
