English:

What have you learnt about frogs? Look through your notes from yesterday and remind yourself of any facts you might have forgotten. Today you are going to have a go at writing your own 'All about Frogs' information poster. This will be just like the one we made called 'All about Mice'. Use capital letters for the start of a sentence, finger spaces between words and full stops and the end of a sentence. Here is an example of one of the 'All about Mice' information posters we made last week. Remember your frog poster will look very similar but it will be about frogs:

Have a go at the activity below, where it says find 3d shapes in your classroom at the end, change this to find 3d shapes in your house. If you don't have a printer, do not worry, you can use the highlighter button in the top right of adobe and use it for the first few activities. The last activity can be done on paper. 

 

Theme

Great Fire of London: Have a go at the Samuel Peypes activity on Purple Mash. It has been set as a 2do for you so log in, click on the 2do button and click onto the activity. 

If you do not have access to a computer/ipad, draw a picture of Samuel Peypes and in a speech bubble get him to explain who he is, what he did and how he is feeling. 

 

Computing

Finish your Great Fire of London book on Purple Mash. Open in the same way you did yesterday, log onto Purple Mash, click onto 'Work' at the top, find your saved work and continue.

What did it teach you about frogs? Write down the facts you have learnt about frogs from memory onto a piece of paper. Say your sentence before writing it and use capital letters, full stops and finger spaces.

Reading

Read a book from home and discuss what happened in it. Or use this website to find a book that is at your level. Choose the Option 'Oxford Level' from the drop down levels list and then choose your book stage (it is on the back of your home reading book):

English (second part) This would normally be after lunch and last around 40 minutes. 

Rewatch Frogs! Video from this morning. Discuss with your parent/s carer/s what frogs look like. 

Draw a picture of a frog and label e.g. long tongue, long legs, sticky toes etc.

 

Computing

Log into your Purple Mash. If you have your book saved on your username then click on Files at the top of the screen and open it. If not, click on 'Tools' then '2create a story' then choose the middle option 'My story'. For the past few weeks the children have been making a book about the Great Fire of London using this tool. They should add animation and sound to it too. If you are unsure on how to use it look at the top of your screen on Purple Mash and click on this button for a video guide:
