The school receives an amount into the budget called the Pupil Premium, based upon the number of pupils eligible for free school meals, looked after children and service children. The Pupil Premium is used in a variety of ways to enhance the attainment of these pupils.
After analysis of need, the Premium is used on the following:-
Teaching Assistant salary to deliver interventions
IDSS behaviour support
Group work and 1 to 1 tuition where necessary
How will the impact of the spending of the pupil premium be measured?
To monitor progress on attainment, measures are included in the performance tables that will capture the achievement of students covered by the Pupil Premium.
At Crawshawbooth Primary school the usual cycle of data collection and the monitoring and tracking of each cohort's attainment will be used to inform children's progress and enable the early identification of need, support and appropriate intervention.
Our own data analysis (using School Pupil Tracker Online) allows us to monitor progress and attainment of Pupil Premium children to ensure we are closing the gap between the attainment of pupil premium and non pupil premium children.
