  • Early Help Offer

Lancashire County Council's Early Help Offer is designed to provide timely and effective support to children, young people, and families facing emerging challenges. The aim is to address issues early, preventing them from escalating into more complex problems.

Key Components of the Early Help Offer

    • Early Help Assessment (EHA)

This assessment tool helps identify a family's strengths and needs. Professionals work collaboratively with families to gather information and develop a tailored support plan. The EHA process includes creating an Early Help Plan and conducting Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings to ensure coordinated support.

    • Children and Family Wellbeing Service (CFW)

The CFW provides a range of services to children and families, focusing on those with higher levels of need. Support is offered through neighbourhood centres, community settings, and home visits. Services include intensive family support, group programmes, and drop-in sessions.

    • Family Intensive Support

For families with more complex needs, intensive support is provided. Family Support Workers deliver personalised assistance, often taking on the role of Lead Professional. Interventions typically last up to 26 weeks, aiming to achieve positive changes and sustainable outcomes.

    • Multi-Agency Collaboration

The Early Help Offer emphasises a multi-agency approach, ensuring that professionals from various sectors work together to support families. This collaboration includes schools, health services, and social care, ensuring that families receive comprehensive support tailored to their needs.

    • Accessing Support

Families can access Early Help services through referrals by professionals or by contacting local services directly. The process is designed to be accessible, ensuring that families receive the support they need promptly.
